Swiss Society Bangkok Food Donation Huai Yai
2nd Donation from the Swiss Society Bangkok on Sunday, 9 August 2020 Although big events and plant visits of interesting companies are still not possible, the SSB board is not inactive. Under the lead of Sascha Buergi, 120 food packages were distributed again among people in need who suffer from the consequences of the Covid crisis. This time the distribution took place at Wat Huay Yai, Bang Lamung, Chon Buri. As a preparation of this event, the head of the Wat Huay and his monks gave vouchers to selected persons in need to make sure this food distribution went to the suffering families. Six members of the local Government and four SSB members took care of the distribution handling that day, especially of the important hygienic requirements and the safety distance rules. Within 30 minutes, the extensive boxes with basic food, such as rice, eggs, noodle soups (Mama), oil, sardine tins, etc., were handed out. This is again a successful engagement ending up with many happy faces - recipients and distributors. According to Sascha, promoter of this event, the great support of the authorities and the gratitude of the population was once more a wonderful experience.
